I must be on a roll if I have been able to write three posts in one week. Hopefully, the trend continues.
I think somewhere there is a Monty Hall type of person opening the doors to Apocalypse. Someone out there is putting things in the drinking water. There has to be an explanation for what is going on. And it needs to stop. NOW!
I never thought I would write the following.
At least not willingly.
Let me say this. I find Paris Hilton to be completely ridiculous. I see no reason why she is famous for being famous. What happened to the time when you needed to do actually perform something to be famous? The last time I did see her “perform” I was disappointed. She had one of the worse porn performances I have ever seen. She made me think that “acting” in such movies was better than how she did it. I was surprised that she made even made me think about the quality of the “acting” in porn. Ironic?
She made news for being lampooned in a John McCain campaign ad. Although there was some truth to it. Celebrity has become a dangerous thing in America culture. We have as a society on the whole mistaken “celebrity” equates to “substance”. We are sadly on the edge of joining the “cult of personality”.
This being said.
The following I would never thought possible
I found it funny.
And shockingly!
She made sense.
And that is how the Apocalypse really begins.
Some reason I am not drinking enough to type what I just did.

Foley,
I agree that the cult of personality has us in the grips of confused thinking and thus confused action. Why? Marketing! As a society we are duped by marketers who are bent on twisting the message to appeal to the most people vs. being truthful and honest and allowing people to choose openly and honestly to align with the product of service.
Branding is only one mark of the marketing poison we are all being given everyday. Like you, I am tired of the addle-brained masses who are so easily confused and yet act on my behalf.
Paris did make a little sense; the sun shines on a dog’s ass sometimes.

I saw the latest Batman movie yesterday. And I realize that our society does need a “secret portector” to fight the “Crazies” who are out there. It seems like the current system just cannot handle the problem.
Besides who wouldn’t want to wear a cool outfit like Batman?
Foley
Foley,
I am jealous that is a movie I want to see as well.
We do need a protector. Sadly we can be our own protectors but many lack the willingness to do so. It is so much easier to rely on others and complain when they fail.
