The Blog Scouting Report Update

Mondays are long work days for me. I can never go right home and right to sleep. I need to unwind. So Tuesdays are not highly productive days. It also never fails that trying to relax a bit is interrupted all the time. Only night the phone seems to ring.

It is what it is. For the time being.

Here are some points to start with.

So I wanted to post some things that I am working out here via the blog.

1. I need to build up a bigger audience for the blog. And the first step was joining Twitter (@FoleyWrites) as another contact source. I had avoiding it but I realize I needed a more open point of Internet contact.
2. I will be moving more of my content off of Facebook. Although it will be linked to it. I just find that Facebook is not the best way of growing an audience. Plus, for what I need to do with this site, Facebook is too passive of audience for the most part.
3. I want to do more fictional writing. But as I said above Monday/Tuesday block is not the best for it. Exactly what it will be and what form has yet to be decided. But the work will determine that. It is more about ideas than form at the moment.
4. Given time restraints. I need to get more efficient and protective of the writing and reading time.
5. I picked up a copy of the book The 3 A.M. Epiphany: Uncommon Writing Exercises that Transform Your Fiction. I realized that my writing needs an “exercise program” that comes from outside of me. Plus I need to work out ideas at a time rather than at 3AM. I never remember those “good ideas”.

It is time of at evaluating the resources I have and the tools I need.
