And the title is a representation for the electrical formula for resistance. It is what is behind part of my latest reading. I am trying to breakdown the book The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. I am starting to work with and through by just doing a couple of chapters a day. “Resistance” is a term he used to address the forces at working that want to stop you from fulfilling the “creative process”. It is also a combination of internal and external forces at work.
I have to become even more protective about writing time and place. I have been frustrated by a lot of circumstances that have hindered my process. I have become quite upset and disappointed with people who have interrupted. I then have to defend or over explain my position on this. The worse of this is I have to have this talk with people who will not take any time whatsoever to acknowledge any of this.
Why is I sleep when I need to write? Why can’t I shut my brain down at 2-3AM to sleep?
The part about de-cluttering is it now only applies to things but people too. I have to be harsh about all of it. But the balancing act is making sure it does get “too personal”.
I also made another mistake. Although it has had its entertaining moments.
I was waiting at an appointment trying to kill some time. I was in reading mode. So I downloaded an app game to kill some time. And did it. The game “Angry Birds” should have come with a Warning before I downloaded it. There should have been a pop up screen stating :
YOU ARE ABOUT TO DOWNLOAD THE GAMING EQUIVALENT OF CRACK.
Are you sure?
Are you really sure?
Yes, it is kind of an easy and stupid game. But do not let that fool you.
But for me it was in way about the immediacy of action/reaction. It is something I do get that quickly with writing. Action part varies. The reaction part I have no control over. Feedback via WebStats is not that very rewarding. But low “Trolling”.
It is what it is.
